I regard each of these garments as an extension of my art practice. I first embarked on this design as a challenge to see what it would look like if I merged symbols of 'war' and 'peace' in an effort to express a blurring of perception from a U.S. centric perspective. Since then the design has moved in a more positive direction attempting to communicate a flowering or renaissance. I look forward to a world that embraces a better version of peace, one that I feel is yet to be seen. I spent 3 years designing this while witnessing the birth of great movements that I respect: Cryptography, Decentralization, Citizen Journalism, Digital Activism, Memes, Decriminalization of Marijuana, Individual Awakening, Revitalization of Communal Sharing of Ideas and Intelligence through Social Media, and the rise of Eco-Conscious, Low Impact Production. - 𝔻.𝔼.
